In the capital, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk-yeol, who was in Turkmenistan on a state visit. Upon arrival at the Arkadag Hotel in the capital city, which became the venue for the meeting, the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife Kim Keon-hee, who accompanied him during the visit, were cordially greeted by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his wife Ogulgerek Berdimuhamedova. There the Hero-Arkadag and the guest of honour, together with their spouses, took memorable photos.

The Tennis Complex of the Olympic City of Ashgabat is Recognised as the Education and Training Centre of the Asian Region

In Turkmenistan, according to the established good tradition, International Children’s Day was widely celebrated. To mark the significant date, the opening of a children’s tennis festival and the presentation of the Certificate of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) recognising the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Village of Ashgabat as the Education and Training Centre of the Asian Region took place. The venue for the celebrations was the Tennis Complex, which is part of the infrastructure of the capital city’s Olympic village, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to host the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. And now this largest sports facility in the Central Asian region serves to host major sports competitions and to train athletes and everyone who wants to improve their health.

Meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to consider the results of the work of military and law enforcement agencies for January-May of the current year. The agenda also includes issues of ensuring security and peace in our independent Homeland, strengthening the material and technical base of security forces, and further improving their activities. The first speaker was the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B.Gundogdyev, who reported on the work done by subordinate structures during the period under review and the practical steps taken to successfully implement the priority tasks identified by the military reform, including strengthening the defensive power of the National Army.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the city of Arkadag, where he acquainted himself with the projects of facilities for various purposes, planned for construction during the second stage of construction of the new city, and with samples of the decorative finishing of buildings. Along with this, the Hero-Arkadag conducted a working meeting at the headquarters of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship. Given the fact that as part of the implementation of the second stage of development of the new city, the construction of industrial complexes is mainly planned, special importance is attached to the introduction of modern scientific achievements into the work. In this context, the preservation of its architectural look and favourable ecological environment are identified among the important tasks of the urban planning programme of the city of Arkadag.

Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Honourable elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Arkadag city where he familiarised with designs of various projects planned to be built during the second stage of construction of the new city as well as with samples of decorative finishes of buildings. Besides it, Hero-Arkadag held a working meeting in the head office of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. Taking into account the fact that within realisation of the second stage of construction of the new city, basically erection of industrial complexes is planned and a special significance is given to introduction of modern achievements of science in practice. In the given context, preservation of its architectural shape and the favourable ecological environment were outlined as important goals of the town-planning program of Arkadag city.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening of a new water management facility in the capital

Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the commissioning ceremony of a new important facility - the «Bagtyýarlyk» water treatment plant with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters of water per day. The construction of the facility was carried out in accordance with the relevant decree of the head of state. The source of water is an open reservoir with a volume of one million cubic meters, located on the right bank of the Garagum River. The naturally settled water flows by gravity into the front chamber of the first pumping station, where equipment manufactured by the world famous company KSB is installed. It is then sent to a water treatment plant, disinfected and sent to a reservoir for filtration.

The National Leader of the Turkmen People Attends the XV International Economic Forum “Russia–Islamic World: Kazanforum 2024”

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of his working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, took part as a guest of honour in the XV International Economic Forum “Russia–Islamic World: KazanForum 2024” and also held a number of meetings. The main goal of the Forum is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between the regions of Russia and the countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and to promote the development of institutions of the Islamic financial system in the Russian Federation. This year its key theme is “Trust and Cooperation”. Representatives of more than 80 states, including 40 OIC member countries, and 83 regions of Russia took part in the Forum.
