The head of the state has a session with members of the People’s Council of National Assembly

The President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a session with members of the People’s Council chamber in the office of the People’s Council. At the session, the head of the state has familiarized himself with work as well as specified the utmost objectives related to organization of activity of this structure. Coming over to review of the subjects of the agenda, the head of the state gave floor to Chairman of the Committee for protection of human rights and freedoms M. Taganov who reported on the measures undertaken for successful solution of objectives for bringing national legislation to compliance with recognized standards of international law.

The President of Turkmenistan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in our country on a working visit. Expressing gratitude for the cordial welcome on the Turkmen land, the guest extended greetings and sincere congratulations on a number of significant events, including the 140th anniversary of the Turkmen capital and the publication of books by the President of Turkmenistan dedicated to Ashgabat and spiritual values of the nation, from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of Turkmenistan.

Turkmen leader launches construction of Ashgabat city and opens new residential complex

On the Day of Ashgabat and 140th anniversary of the capital, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on occasion of ground-breaking ceremony of big residential complex Ashgabat City and opening of new complex of double-store houses built in the northern part of Ashgabat. Ashgabat becomes better and better every day and its magnificent architectural ensemble is added with new buildings and constructions. Urban infrastructure is gradually modernized, which provides Ashgabat’s residents with amenities and comfort according to international standards. The whole districts have been reconstructed, new developed residential estates, numerous social and other facilities have been built in the capital in the last years.

Extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan is held

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat, at which number of subjects of the state life has been reviewed. Members of the State Security Council, heads of the some ministries and departments and mass media were among invited participants.

The President of Turkmenistan visits gasoline production plan and flies around big construction sites

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited the plant for production of gasoline from natural gas, which was built in Ahal Region, where inspected the activity of this modern industrial complex and exchange the views with officials of oil and gas sector on construction of the second phase of the plant as well as made a helicopter flight around number of big facilities inspecting the course of construction works. In the morning, the head of the state has come to the GTL plant in Ahal Region.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers heads of Ashgabat and regions. Issues related to fulfilment of objectives specified by the Program of social and economic development of the regions, seasonal agricultural works and preparation to coming holidays have been reviewed. The ceremonies of laying flowers ceremony to the Monument to the Constitution and the Main Flag of Turkmenistan took place in Ashgabat, with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Festive events started at the majestic Monument of Constitution. The Turkmen leader arrived to the venue and headed to the special place. The National Anthem sounded.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The President of Turkmenistan cordially congratulated the leader of the friendly country on his birthday and, taking this pleasant opportunity, wished him good health, prosperity and further success in the highest government post.
