The Turkmen people have a rich ancient culture, which includes the well-known Ahalteke horses and the wonderful art of horse breeding. To date, the Ahalteke horses have become a symbol of the high pace of development, noble initiatives and goals of Turkmenistan. Our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes great pride in horses, has excellent horse riding skills to capture the hearts of people. The glory of the Ahalteke horses has been enhanced during the epoch of the great development under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

As is known, at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 23, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced that he had finished writing the book ‘Anau – Culture Originated from the Millennia’. Sports is the call to health

Development of the mass physical culture and sports movement, its promotion among people of all ages, adherence to the principles of a healthy lifestyle are the priorities of the state policy in our beloved Motherland. The final stages of the XIII tournament ‘Turkmenistan – the Home of Health and Inspiration’ in March-April of the year ‘Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy’ vividly demonstrated this fact. At the tournament, our compatriots who work at the ministries, departments, military and law enforcement agencies of the country competed in volleyball, basketball, athletics, swimming, tennis, table tennis, chess, judo, national wrestling, sambo wrestling, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling and boxing. The competitions took place in the modern sports facilities in Ashgabat and increased the number of the sports-loving people.

The successful implementation of the future-oriented policies was confirmed once again by the recent visit of the youth delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic of India. As part of the introductory visit of the youth delegations of the Central Asian countries to the Republic of India, the youth delegation of Turkmenistan made a 10-day journey to the Republic of India in March 2024 at the invitation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Government of India.

One of the most amazing wonders of spring is the flowering of plants and trees. After the cold and barren winter, the earth is covered with a carpet of green grass, dotted with colorful flowers of various shapes and sizes. The frozen earth wakes up and gives birth to young and fresh trees, signalling the awakening of dormant life. School and college children are given spring holidays to take time off their studies and enjoy time with friends and family.

A tournament for children

Ashgabat hosted the CAFA NAVRUZ-2024 Children's Football Festival, organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan. A real celebration of the world's favourite game gathered over 150 young girls and boys. Young football players demonstrated their skills, passion and team spirit and delighted numerous spectators. The festival became a bright event to promote football among the younger generations.

The urban development policy launched by our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is being successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This policy implies the use of digital technologies. The city of Arkadag embodies the innovative methods of the national construction industry. The successful implementation of the first stage of the construction of the city of Arkadag and recognition of it as a city of the youth provoked great pride of the Turkmen people. During the working trip to the new city, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the relevant officials at the headquarters of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship. The meeting was dedicated to the preparation for the events to be held on the third anniversary of the establishment of the Foundation.

The great poet and thinker

Based on the beautiful poem by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the will of the people, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan declared 2024 as the year ‘Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy’. Moreover, the whole world celebrates the 300th anniversary of the birthday of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great Turkmen poet and thinker. Over the centuries, the poems by Magtymguly have inspired the Turkmen people and have strengthened the national unity, generosity, love, and hopes for the future. To date, every Turkmen family has the books of Magtymguly Pyragy with his poems. The younger generations are educated with the instructions from those wonderful poems. The poetry by Magtymguly Pyragy forms incomparable treasure and literary heritage that has amazed the world. The poems by the great poet and thinker are full of sweet words and deep wisdom. Magtymguly revealed the political and economic life of the Turkmen people at those times, their hopes, dreams, and the views on the past and the future.

Education of the younger generations

Education begins in childhood. Children have pure hearts and imitate the best things and beauty. Thus, the things they learn in childhood serve as a foundation for entire life and experience. Valuable thoughts about these matters are expressed in the literary works by our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and in the book ‘Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy’ by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The National Leader of the Turkmen people wrote in the book ‘Traditions of Turkmen Statehood’ that the most valuable heritage is upbringing, and the essence of upbringing is science and education. Our compatriots take great pride in the fact that the first-graders receive computers as gifts in the primary school and discover the world of knowledge in the Turkmen, English and Russian languages and that these computers are manufactured in Turkmenistan. Children achieve harmony between upbringing and education.
