In early spring, the Turkmen steppe turns into a lush green meadow. The sounds of lambs, the sweet melodies of birds – all of this heralds the beginning of spring, the queen of the seasons.
Thus, Nowruz is the New Year. On the first day of the New Year, our people give their best wishes. Our compatriots pray for peace, prosperity, health and unity of the people, and well-being of the country. On Nowruz, people talk about honesty and start important affairs. After Nowruz, farmers sow seeds into the fertile soil and pray for rich crop.
