Ahal FC to compete in the international event
A digital draw ceremony took place in Kuala Lumpur on January 17, and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced the opponents of our country's football team in continental competitions. The draw for the Asia's premier club football tournament, the AFC Champions League, was held first. After a 19-year pause, a Turkmen team will compete in the tournament this year. The Ahal FC, owned by the Turkmennebitonumleri Main Department, will play in the 2022 AFC Champions League. According to the draw results, the Ahal FC will compete in Group C with the Foolad FC (Iran), the Shabab Al Ahli FC (the United Arab Emirates) and the Al-Gharafa SC (Qatar).
