The word about Neutrality

The quarter-century anniversary of the neutrality status of Turkmenistan has become, without exaggeration, an event of international significance. Politicians, diplomats, well-known public figures, together with the people of Turkmenistan, share the celebration of this date, significant for the historical fate of our people and state. Following the well-thought course of positive neutrality, Turkmenistan is entering this anniversary year “in an atmosphere of peace and creativity, good-neighbourliness, respect and mutual understanding with its friends and partners in the world community.” These words of the respected President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the best way possible confirm the correctness and foresight of the choice that independent Turkmenistan made 25 years ago. They said their word about the policy of positive neutrality:

Melodies of the National Decor of the Capital City Architecture

In the new historical era of the Turkmen state, when its cities and settlements have begun to acquire a modern look, the architectural thought turned to the decor of buildings in the national style. The expanded scale of urban planning under the leadership of the Honoured Architect, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and, as a result, a completely updated look of our cities, prove the correctness of the chosen path. After all, almost every building is now a kind of artistic canvas, reflecting the cultural traditions of the Turkmen people. Folk art as a whole is the collection and achievement of the material and spiritual life of people whose traditions are passed on from one generation to another. Decorating the infrastructure of the urban environment with monumental works, the artists of Turkmenistan carry out a noble mission of preserving and popularising the spiritual heritage, which is one of the priority tasks of our state.
